SUDC. What is it?
It's called Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood, and its sadly on the rise. The foundation was created in 2001 by a group of parents who have suffered in life because of this unexplainable horrific accident. Many have heard of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), but not many have heard of SUDC. SUDC is the sudden and unexpected death of a child over the age of twelve months, which remains unexplained after a thorough case investigation is conducted.

There is a local 5k run in Fayetteville, NC that brings attention to this cause. It is called Josalyn's Jog, founded by Laura Legg and her husband Duane, in honor of their 15 1/2 month old daughter Josalyn (pictured left), who passed away in 2012 due to SUDC.

We will be signing up people for the March 2016 Josalyn's Jog at our grand opening. There will be a sign up cost (donation to SUDC) which will be determined closer to the event; that cost will cover your entrance to run and a Josalyn's Jog t-shirt.
